That is quiet the article.intrested points. I can think of many wealthy people who would likely rather lose a finger or hand that to lose their riches.but then i can think of just avergae joe people who also would find it hard to lose everything and might rather lose a finger.Having the faith to believe God will provide EVERY THING you need is a huge change from the do it yourself lifestyle...the God helps those who helps themselves type of attitude. But the faith to forsake all, without question or fussing to take what food or clothes comes your way and to be satified and not feel like a victim.or hard done by.To be grateful for what you find from the dumpters and to be so cheerful that you are saving wasted items.I saw a happiness in several Jesus Christians posts when they was talking about green matters but i could tell the real joy was that they were serving God and the rest was all extra.
I thought about the challenge in the article about carrying a small pocket knife and how a person would think before they did something bad.it's true the hand of the thief isnt the culpret but its there greedy and dishonest heart.in that way we humans are lucky as we have the chance to change our hearts through believeing in God and asking him to change us and to help us have pure hearts. It sort of is shown that jail doesnt change people and even the death penilty isnt a deterint to murders so its the heart that must be changed and man himself is to weak to do it alone i think.Man needs God but for God to work to the max, man must be prepared to lay down his all and his everything.it cant be a conditional faith.it must be absolute faith for God to do his best work in someones life and for God to be able to use that person to His glory and to the max.
My heart is moved over what alf and Jayme did for the Falun Gong guys.It would be one thing to take the punishment of a brother or friend but to accept the substituionary punishment of someone who isnot connected to you, in fact you sort of dont much like how they are chosing to live there lives but you still take the punishment for them anyway.would that not speak to the coldest heart?
I liked the closing of the article asbout smashing pride but I was woundering if I could get some explanation of the term <
>.
Thanks for this thought provoking article.
